Ambassador BA Samba served as Ambassador in Sudan (2017-2018), and Ambassador to Central Africa with residence in Khartoum (2018). He also served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and cooperation as Deputy Director of American and Asian Affairs (2007-2011); then Ambassador Director of the same Department (2011-2014), and later as Ambassador Director of International cooperation (2014-2017).
Prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. BA was adviser to the Commissioner General for the Promotion of Private investment in Charge of the MCC (2007).
Ambassador BA has been member of the Mauritanian delegations to numerous regional, international conferences and summits:
- African Union Summits in Addis Ababa (2009, 2015, 2016)
- African Union Ministerial Conferences in Kigali (2015); Addis Ababa (2016).
- UN general Assembly (2009, 2014, 2015, 2016)
- UN general Conferences on Human Rights in Geneva (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017)
- Africa – South America Conference in Malabo (2012)
- China – Africa Conference, Beijing (2011) - TICAD Conference in Yokohama, Japan (2013); TICAD in Burkina Faso (2012), Morocco (2010) and Tunisia (2010)
- China - Arab Summit (2011) - China – Arab Conference (2010)
Ambassador BA is a recipient of the Mauritanian Medal of Knight of the National Order of Merit. He graduated from the Ohio State University and from the University of Nouakchott.
